Dr. Walter Botermann is a member of the Advisory Board at Dr. Hengster, Loesch & Kollegen.
He studied Economics and obtained his doctorate Dr. rer. pol. from the University of Cologne in 1983. Subsequently he held various executive positions in the fields of Finance and Capital Investments. For more than 20 years he acted as a member of the Managing Boards of the insurance companies Barmenia, Gerling and Alte Leipziger. From 2009 until 2018 he was Chairman of the Management Boards of Alte Leipziger Lebensversicherung, Hallesche Krankenversicherung and Alte Leipziger Holding.
He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Bundesbank Regional Office Frankfurt and he is a member of the Management Board of InsurLab Germany e.V.
